Microsoft Teams is a collaborative tool for your organization, which can be used as a real-time workspace for meetings, communication, file sharing, and other application sharing. Basically, it is a centralized hub for teamwork that comes under Microsoft Office 365 package. What really powerful is, MS Teams is a very flexible system that allows everyone to connect across multiple scenarios within the same organization.

Work with anything
MS Teams supports for many platforms which is available as a desktop application, mobile MS Teams supports many platforms that are available as a desktop application, mobile application, and a web application. The desktop application is a standalone application that operates in a Windows, Mac, or Linux environment. If you have a Windows, Android, or IOS mobile device, you can connect with the mobile application.
The web application can be used from any browsers except for Safari.
Communication
In Microsoft Teams, we can communicate with others not only using chat bust also using calls and meetings. Chat is where you can have private chats, both 1:1 and group chats. And also, you can open conversations in a channel. On the other hand, you can have online audio calls, video calls, and most importantly, video conferencing (online meeting), which helps you to have an efficient meeting and to speed up decision making.
Collaboration
Through Microsoft Teams, you can quickly access all the other applications that come under Microsoft Office 365 package such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner, OneNote, etc. as well as you can work on these apps within the team itself and especially in real-time.
We need and use applications other than Office 365 for a better result on a day to day basis. So, we can add 3rd party apps and services that we love such as Trello, GitHub, MindMeister, etc. to our Team for quick access. This encourages them to remain engaged and organized in one centralized spot.
